    Help with "itchy" steer

One of our steers has just recently started taking his front legs, like in little cartoons and throwing dirt/mulch anything up under his belly. And its making a huge mess. We tried washing his belly, and it seems to work, but I don't want to end up with dry skin. Why is he doing this? And how...

What have you had better results with?

We decided to take a try with hair growth supplements on a heifer we have. (I really hope this don't start any problems) We've looked at Shag, Hide and Hair and Flair. Are any of them worth trying? Anybody have success with using them?

Settle an argument...who has to open the gate?

Passenger gets the gate. And to save the brownie from being accidently  dropped, the brownie should be given to the driver.

My steers hair is falling out. (kind of), Dirty, and Leading :/

Okay, when it comes to the fight with hair, I know all too well about it. I've shown for eight years now, and not a single calf (except for the one I have now) has had hair to even brush. 1. Cows sweat, bad. You sweat when you're hot, and as a girl you put your hair up. A steer, can't do that...

    Calf afraid of fans?

It's been every bit of 85 all week here in southern Ohio, and the poor steer was panting like crazy, so I put two old fan cage fans on him. Ever since I put them in, he stands in the far corner of the stall where the fans don't reach but when he is close to them he's constantly swishing his...

    Anxious steer?

When we walk one of our steers across the yard to be worked with, he walks perfectly fine. But when we walk him back towards the barn, he tries to walk fast like hes in a hurry to get there, and when we make it to the door, he practically drags me through, and straight to his pen. He does a...

Yup! I've had one older cow show signs of prolapse when she'd lay down, the calf was pushing its way out, and another who fully prolapsed thanks to a AI calf.
