    Breeding Suggestions PLEASE!!!

Your braunvieh may surprise you if you AI her "clubby".  I have a couple of friends who raise and show Braunviehs a little bit and they have crossed them up and gotten some pretty darn good calves out of them!  I don't breed to enough club stuff to tell you what to use on her, but I would...

    Help need steer charmer

I agree with the donkey.  I had a steer that was a nut, put him on a donkey and I never had a bit of trouble out of him again.  but do it asap.  The longer he gets by with it the harder it will be to break. Good Luck Fluffer

    cidrs

Ok, don't hold me to this but I think this is how we are doing ours- cidrs in and 2cc of GnRH 8 days before AI, then 5 days later pull Cidrs and give 5 cc Lute in the AM and then 6 to 8 hrs later give 5cc of lute again, then breed 3 days later the same time you put cirds in and gave the first...

    droopy ears

When we had a calf do that it was Mycoplasma.  She was a stunner as a baby and then when she got that she fell back a little.  Never really worked out.  Had to ship her.  Our vet walked out and looked at her and as soon as he saw her he said she had mycoplasma.  I guess that ear droop/head tilt...

    BUCKLE UP!

Our truck dings if you don't put your seatbelt on.  I will be talking to my hubby on the phone and hear it ding.  I tell him to put on his seat belt every time I hear it.  I just don't understand why people don't put it on. I know someone who was hauling a trailer and hit black ice, the truck...

    Sick Calf

Your not kidding red!  We had that nice spurt there for a couple of weeks in mid april and that was just a tease.  Now we have had rain again and more mud.  We are supposed to be dry until next tuesday.  Update on the calf, I think I talked my hubby into putting the calf down.  He doesn't...

    Tattletales! They do work!

Our problem was with the plastic.  They would ride each other to the point that they would rip the plastic and the light stick would fall out and the patch was unusable. Fluffer

    Sick Calf

DL & Others- I thank you for your advice.  Our vet started us on the penicillin and we had been fine till now.  I imagine we are just going to put the calf down.  I don't want to, but like SWMO said, I have a feeling even if we get him through, there is too much damage and he won't be worth it...

    old Maine bull Bad Medicine

Ditto what Red Said- He was owned by Agles and I also believe Campbells as well.  Either way Agles have a lot of really good foundation stuff out of him and have brought several great cattle out of him or trace back to him to the county and state shows.  If you can't find Agles info, I can give...

    REAR LEG QUESTION

(welcome) There isn't probably a whole lot you can do.  He is probably really straight and the stress has caused fluid build up.  There are some supportives you can do though.  Make sure he has plenty of bedding wherever you keep him.  I would leave him loose so he can move around the pen (as...
