I was wondering how safe it would be to haul a bred cow/calf pair to the county fair to show. She would be 46 days bred the day we haul in to the fair and she would stay there the entire week. Any opinions?

We will be there, bringing in 6 steers and 2 heifers. Three of the steers and one heifer will show as B/O, always a good weekend that everyone looks forward to.

Far too many dairy market steers as well as dairy feeders at our county fair in Michigan. They have far out numbered our Beef steers for many years. At the present time the buyers are very discouraged with the feeder program as they are expected to purchase all of these animals that they have...

We buy some from them every year and have never had a problem. Everything we have used from them this year stuck first time.

Frostback she is with a dozen cows with calves at side and four yearling heifers. One good 'ole cow is as good as a gomer bull, just one of the many reasons she stays around. We are out amongst them a couple of times a day and no there has been no discharge, nothing. Good luck to you with yours...

Finally had our Amen calf this week. Keep in mind this cow averages 7 days over and always adds BW. Eleven days over due, 126 lb. unassisted heifer, huge bone, and a ton of hair out of a clean cow. Very impressed with this calf, hopefully she is as impressive this fall.

Anxiously awaiting an Amen calf. This cow generally runs about 7 days over and is at that point now. She adds BW to everything so hoping she gets with the program soon with hearing his calves are coming on the bigger side as well. Keep the calf reports coming in.
