Researchers use DNA from exceptional carcass to produce donor cow

Dr. Jekels (meaning PhDs) trying to prove a theory and then claiming their research findings are worth more money and fit a market.  Isn't this just another example of Frankenfood?  Will McDonald's buy these freaks?  How many restaurant steaks are really needed when most beef is consumed as...

    Sexed Heifer Semen Bulls

I still think you should flush her reverse sort if you want to maximize the flush for heifer embryos.  Either way, UM or FNG, the heifers you get will be good cows.

I am a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I have used uship.com.  Got along great.

    Sexed Heifer Semen Bulls

I have to agree with Shortybreeder on the reverse sort, ivf option.  You will get more heifer embryos from any bull you choose.  S&R Round Table will throw about as much bone as any Angus at a reasonable cost.

    Rep Your Breed

I used to raise club calves last century and gave up because of hard calving and disposition problem.  Started up again with Angus due to popularity, ease of marketing, and epd products.  Recently we have ventured into polled Herefords for family nostalgia reasons and disposition. Angus still...

    Dose creep feeding pay

Yes, especially if pastures are challenged.  We use AAOKs mix with a midwest twist and the cows breed back and the calves grow well.

Thanks for the links, I enjoyed them a lot. I am hoping in a couple years that the boys will be in a similar video.

    Hereford bull "custom made"

He is my choice for second calf heifers and cows. Unfortunately mine this year are all first calf heifers.  We will be using MPH Juice Box on those and Custom Made next year, unless reports say otherwise.

    Show or not to Show?

OOCC, I would say yes to not showing if it will ruin the heifer.  With that said, the best showman seem to also be the best at feeding their cattle.  The above advice is good.

Mature size or frame score on I80

I saw him at Hawkeye a couple of years ago.  I was surprised at his frame size.  He was one of the taller bulls in the barn, taller than Choppin Wood and Unstoppable and much taller than OCC Rear End.  I am not a judge of frame size, but he was over 6 for sure, but probably not a 7...

    best Angus bull

A lot of the bulls mentioned are either very expensive and hard to get or the bull carries a lot of birth weight.  I do agree with the BSF Opportunist suggestion and the SAV Brillance can be hit and miss.  I would try really hard to get semen on STYLES CASHED IN S8, but so far I have not seen...

    Bull Rental

I charge 20/cow/month.  The leasor is responsible for care, facilities, and 50% of bull value if the bull is injured or dies. Bull must be returned in good shape.  No charge for junior projects other than care and insurance.

    Switching feed?

Based on the info they will need to gain 1300 - 700 = 600 lbs in 135 days.  Roughly over 4 lbs per day which is a pretty hefty goal. You will need to push the feed, but I worry about too much energy and upset rumens.  As they age you will need to increase energy and decrease protein to get them...

    Angus Cows

Among the bulls you list I would be hard pressed not to use Unstoppable.  However, Phil Lautner would tell you Paddy would be the go to bull on PB Angus cows. Who for the big framed females.  None of my suggestions are new or hot, but they should at least make some really good clubby females. ...
