I don't know so much about fall borns, but last fall the spring borns sold like a SOB.  Even the average ones that were sired by HW brought a good price(5-10K).  So far I think the show cattle market has been immune to the recession.

Will a horned bull sire both horned and scurred calves?  Do both parents have to carry the horned gene?

if she's good I would risk it.  the worst case scenario is that she probalpses again.  If she's that good it's kind of a nobrainer.  What does anthropomorphic mean???  And injuries improve all the time.  it's a process called healing

thanks for the advice.  Out vet seems to think its only a little swelling and says we shouldn't worry about it.  He is not really into the whole show steer thing

i have a steer who got a cut on his hock a couple days ago.  it is starting to swell a little bit and the county fair is in two weeks.  is there anything I can do or give hime to make the swelling go down?  He is not going to be slaughter until later this fall so I won't have to worry about drug...
