I am sure this topic has been discussed before.  I am building a new show barn that will be mainly for show heifers.  Is a 10' wide pen large enough? I am open to all opinions and thought processes.

I was thinking of freeze branding my heifers with a ID brand as well a number brand.  Does anybody have any rules you would like to offer about size of brand for the age of the animal? I know they grow as the animal gets bigger.  Just wanting to know if there are any rules the fellow planteers...

I have done it to a few angus heifers that me and my brother showed.  We had great results, the hair coat did grow back better that what we had.  I would just make sure there is some time to get some hair groth back before a show.

Just wondering if anybody has ever bought a set of used digital scales?  I have some offered to me and wanted to know the right price far a set and if there anythings that need to be looked at before they are bought?  Thanks for any advice.
