I have seen an inside leg that looked the same.  The one I saw was a fungus from not getting the inside leg completely dry.

I think he was probably used on fall born Herefords the most.  I have one that looks really nice.  I've heard to be careful of using on cows with soundness issues.  I've seen a few other promising Herefords.  There will be a lot of input by spring.

What are the feeding instructions?  How much do you give before a show?

I would watch him.  We have a lot of steers with the same issue early on, and about 90% seem to grow out of it by spring. 

Rusty Turner- not after anything really extreme.  Certainly doesn't have to be the most powerfull, but he will use the most complete calf he can find.

What did they sell for?

Most of the time it's not needed.  I would try without first. 

Had a red rock calf out of a good marked Hereford cow.  He had a "red rock" marking in the middle of his head between his eyes.  She has never thrown a bad marked calf in her life.  Is this common for him.
