I just finished up working on a really neat project through a group called the Five Nations Beef Council, which represented industry groups in Canada, USA, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia. I spoke to their Young Ranchers program last January during Denver about the importance of telling agriculture's story, and letting the consumer put a face to the people that are raising their food.

Seven young cattle farmers and ranchers went home and captured footage about why they love ag and getting to help feed the world. All of the footage was sent in and then edited into this video. I am glad that these young people chose to share their stories, and although it is probably interesting for other cattlemen to watch I hope a lot of consumers see this, and perhaps you might help spread it around. Your banker, "city" cousins, classmates and your children's teachers need to learn more about ag if we want to all stay in business. And that includes the opportunity to show cattle. Hope you enjoy!

Great video!!  I always ask producers "What have you done to make a difference?"  This is one of many things we as producers have to be doing.  Intoducing our selves to the public is what we HAVE to do.  We can gain more of consumers confidence if they are able to put a face on our product.  As it stand right now, other anti agriculture groups have done a fine job for us.  They have painted a pretty nasty picture of us.  I went on you tube and searched my industry in my area.  I was shocked to see how many activist videos there were of here but not a single pro ag video of anyone in ag.  I actually participated in a video similar to the one shown.  It made itself onto youtube which I am very happy of.  I always said that we should have 3 pro ag videos for every 1 anti ag.  I have heard that part of our check off dollars will be used this year for more videos like this introducing producers to consumers.  Thank you, congrats, and much appreciated.  You have mad a difference and have done something to help our industry out.  Keep up the Great work.
