I just finished up working on a really neat project through a group called the Five Nations Beef Council, which represented industry groups in Canada, USA, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia. I spoke to their Young Ranchers program last January during Denver about the importance of telling agriculture's story, and letting the consumer put a face to the people that are raising their food.
Seven young cattle farmers and ranchers went home and captured footage about why they love ag and getting to help feed the world. All of the footage was sent in and then edited into this video. I am glad that these young people chose to share their stories, and although it is probably interesting for other cattlemen to watch I hope a lot of consumers see this, and perhaps you might help spread it around. Your banker, "city" cousins, classmates and your children's teachers need to learn more about ag if we want to all stay in business. And that includes the opportunity to show cattle. Hope you enjoy!
