A few questions asked by the The National Review editorial board:

Where are all of the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for help in restoring Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods?

Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the federal government hasn't solved the problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks (and trailers) are?

Why isn't the Federal Government relocating Iowa people to free hotels in Chicago?

When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the levees that failed in Des Moines?

Where are Sean Penn and the Dixie Chicks?

Where are all the looters stealing high-end tennis shoes and big screen television sets?

When will we hear Governor Chet Culver say that he wants to rebuild a 'vanilla' Iowa, because that's the way God wants it?

Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage complete with reports of cannibalism?

Where are the people declaring that George Bush hates white, rural people?

How come in 2 weeks, you will never hear about the Iowa flooding ever again?

(I applaud the tenacity of my fellow countrymen from Iowa as they handle the adversity laid before them.  (clapping) <alien>)

Simple: Unlike some folks, we in Iowa can, and are quite capable of taking care of ourselves, thank you very much.

change simply means eliminating america.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/?pageId=67735

since none of what SD mentioned fits the political agenda, no action was taken.

only when it serves them, will they take action, and even then without their own money.  look at bono from U2.  he wants to be taxed less, so he changes residency to give himself more freedom to do what he wants with his own money than the STATE he professes he wants to impose solutions for everyone.  typical hypocrite.

we've got to work to translate our reasoning into values that are accessible to every one of our citizens, not just members of our own faith community," wrote Obama.

does this include head hunters and sun worshipers (human sacrifice)?

many of the founding document's contents are simply incompatible with the direction obama wants to take the country (mccain as well).

do we want to accomodate a culture where it is ok to lie to defeat those who are not like you?  of course the left will call this of racism.  this is why, to me, culture is FOUNDED on discrimination.  contained in the word culture is the word CULT.  which to me simply means you accept unsupportable by logic, "truths" that one's society is builty upon.  america underestimates the disdain that citizens have for it is greater within the country than outside the country.

Nailed it.  Don't forget the people (as few as they are in comparison) in western IL that have flooded out too.  GO IOWA!!! (that's one of the very few times I will say it!!)

it's sad that it has to be like this but it doesn't seem like the iowans are letting it ruin their lives like the people in new orleans did. if only the rest of the country looked at the standards set by good ol' country people...
