Also, if i have my thaw unit plugged into a gfci, is their a chance of straw voltage?

The only time we thaw in the cow is when using Genex semen.
We have sense built a barn, and have a great set up for AIing, properly grounded outlets, however we STILL unplug the thermos before putting a straw in. Being burned once, I do not care to repeat that experience! We usually only AI one or two head at a time, so our temp stays right where it needs to be.
