Thought you bought the best cow there doc.

Thanks, I sure have always liked her and her progeny. She sure didn't look like she was 9. She went to the ET center today and had a cidr put in to flush. We are going to flush her to Hill Haven Bold.
I got to meet Will Lane while I was there and was hoping to meet a few others. We left as soon as it was over and it was still 2:30 Monday morning before I got in bed.

I agree Ryan, she sure is a good looking cow, for any age. We were hoping she was going to go for a bit less than she did!

It was great to meet Will and Ryan at the sale! Maybe next time we will have a little more time to visit and look through the cattle.

It was really nice getting to meet some of you guys.  Doc if you ever want to sell a couple units of the semen I could be interested.  I missed a lot of the semen sale.  It looks like thier was a couple good deals there.  Who bought the simplify? What embryos did redwine cattle get bought?

We were able to buy lot 2H, the CF HF Lady Fool 967 x SULL Beef. 6G, the RSF Mattis 4194 Janet x CF Solution. 16D, CF Augusta Pride 9115 x Sonny. And 36A, Shadybrook Lindy 54R x DF Cloud 9.

Really liked the 2a cow, but couldn't pull the trigger on 5k for her. I also liked the 9a cow that went for $4,250, if she was in a little better shape sale day, we would have tried a little harder to buy her, really impressed with her first calf, 9b, but she broke behind her shoulders more than I expected and for a 3 year old cow, didn't look very fresh in my opinion.

Will, I'm excited about your 7G heifer. I love the story and I hope she does great for your little girl, I bet she will!

7g maybe my best cattle purchase ever.  She has the perfect attitued for Lexi and they seem to be getting along great.  She went straight to the showbarn off the trailer Sunday evening.  We may put her in Ryans name so we can take her to Junior Nationals and Lexi can show her in the showmanship contest.

Jimmy Parnell from AL bought the Simplify package. The 2 fall heifers that he bought got dropped off at my house about 1:00 oclock this morning. He is coming up this weekend to pick them up. He bought several packs of eggs also.

I would like to go see his cattle- any other shorthorn breeders in the south like Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Carolina's?  Come to think of it- besides him I know of none.

Bruce Harbison - Cullman,AL, C&A Shorthorns - MS, Steve McGill - SC, Randy Griffis - SC, Bruce Humble - NC(probably largest herd of Shorthorns in the south), there are a few others scattered throughout the southeast.
