Lock N Load or Combustible??tf82 said:we bred a red monopoly cow to him and got a sweet black blazed faced heifer. she is in the keeper pen and we bred more cows to him in the fall herd and plan on using him this spring too.

I bought some embryos last spring (dam SS U Nights Misti) from Lazy H and after seeing just a few Lock N Load calves this summer and fall, I was really disappointed and hoped I did not make a mistake by getting those embryos. We only put one in last spring, and it is a solid black bull calf, but talk about BONE and natural thickness!!! WOW! I will attach a pic of him, just days old. We have another one due in September, and one more in the tank I am definitely putting in a recip this spring! WOW. And to top it off, he has a super mellow personality, walks right up to you in the field, and you can walk up to him laying in the pasture and scratch him and he does not move!!! Genex now carries the bull, so I might bite the bullet and pick up a cane to try on a few cows.

Also what are the sires of your favorite simmental calves this year?
The BOLD quote from above is WHAT this post has to do with combustible calves... the ORIGINAL poster was also asking what sires are your favorite Simmental sires, sorry that I was simply replying to that question.frostback said:firesweepranch said:Don't have any Combustibles (did not get any conceptions on the semen we tried), but I can tell you I am REALLY impressed with our Lock N Load!!! Not sure what this post and photos have to do with Combustible calves. I too was interested in his progeny. Anyone else have info that would contribute to the original post?
