We breed for feedlot cattle that a feeder can sell on the rail and not on the foot. (for the kiddos) We want our buyers to buy, feed, and sell our cattle and get paid based on the quality of the cattles meat. This year we sold 4 of our calves as bulls to CO, kept 9 replacement heifers and the rest got cut and put on a truck to PA. But when we put a straw of semen into a cow our goal is carcass quality. If we get something worth using as a replacement we do. It is hard to find good phenotypical cattle that have excellent proven carcass quality. That is why I LOVE CNS Dream ON
In regards to the scale, we take BW in case we decide to keep the calf as a replacement (bull or heifer).
