I agree about not breeding your heatwave to a carrier. While it may be about rolling the dice, having a dead calf isnt worth the 'fun' of rolling the dice even thoug I like 2 tone. I have had to drag 6 dead calves out of the pasture this year to our other farms because of first some calf heifers not being able to handle large bull calves, the rain, the snow, still born calves, and more snow. Also why are you flushing your hannibal, Wont that put her a month behind the others in calving? Personally I would breed the older carrier cows to One and Only or Amen because I know you like Amen and your first and second calvers to Jesse James keeping your cow herd at a greater chance of having clean calves. Even though dirty cattle are better muscled if you work to breed good cattle they can compete. //// AMEN-not the bull YOURE statement-and the one in your avatar aint no slouch either-I agree with alot of the advice above and below here-especially on the Heatwave-just off the tiop-there are a couple freaky looking red clean ones along with the rest 1: Mercy Me-a smilin Bob out of HEAT WAVES DAM-(something like that) and hes real cool looking 2: Red Bull of Lautners-full sib to several big time carrier bulls, one being Leroy Brown-and there are loads of others now-just thinking of closeup breeding. Even then, for structural wreck posibilities,Id breed the Heatwave to some of the suggesteds like i-80:some of the Amens have been pretty huge, youre call on that O0
