Never seen this before in cattle until last month. I went on a tour of several farms in KY, and Rocking P, the Phillips, has a cow with what they called "cat eyes". Then, our last farm we visited that week was Misty Meadows, and low and behold he had a cow with the same white eyes. They look spooky! Both owners said the cows have yet to throw white eyes on any calf they have had.
Our bull from that mating, the Steel Force x JS First Lady, has three calves on the ground now, all 90 days old or less, and we found a set of horns on one of the heifers yesterday!!!! Now, we have not been at this that long, but this is the first calf EVER that we have had that has horns (we had a bull with scurs once)! I was shocked, the dam of the heifer has had 7 calves, and we have not seen a set of horns yet from her but obviously the bull and cow are heterozygous polled to throw a set of horns.
