I have been thinking about breeding Carpe Diem on a few cows, what type of cow does he work best on and is he safe to breed on heifers?

i would not use him on a heifer unless she is a low birth weight heifer the calves can be big.... they are good tho. he works on deep flanked cattle ive noticed they can be a little pinched in the flank

I have not used him personally, but I know several people that use him as their go to heifer bull.  They have used him on every type of heifer imaginable, from high % Angus to very clubby Heatwave and Monopoly daughters.  They have used him on heifers that were 90+ calves themselves and by pedigree should have thrown em half grown,  and they have yet to pull a calf.  So I would say I would be comfortable using him on heifers.

Saw him today, small energetic little guy! Not a huge amount of mass but enough. I am interested to see how he progresses. Didn't get a picture because had to get back home, hope to get one in next few weeks. He is red with white spots over his legs and tail.

thats great! and you cant expect a 60lb calf to have to much mass for that size lol. but our carpe diem was really hyper for about the first month you couldnt go near it and it would bolt and take off running but it settled down allot after that and now acts just like a dog (as her mother did)
