What is the going rate for football tickets.Even the pros.I was going to try and get a couple for the K-STATE-nebraska football game in Manhattan this year. How does the donor deal work? How about the student section(I would probably fit in best with the rowdies). What is a normal price per ticket(season tickets). I went to stub hub and found row 1 seats for 400-500$ in the donor section. What is everybodies experience? I haven't been to a game since probably 1981. Its Bedores last year and I thought I'd splurge. :)

The student section is a little harder to get into these days.  They check for ID when you show your ticket.  I just bought my tickets for both football and basketball the other day.  I am excited.  We should really suck it up this year.  Oh well if I have no expectations then we might do alot better.  At least that seems to be the general rule of thumb.  Every time I say we have no chance we go out and stomp Texas or Oklahoma.

GO CATS!!!!

Oh P.S.

Tickets shouldn't be to hard to get this year.  Or very expensive.

I saw one mag rating state 5th of 6th in the big north. However if the get through the first 5 games 5 and 0...they could face hit their tough road games with some confidence. I remember ku loosing like 6 games in arow by 3 points or less one year. The next year they did okay...what was their record????They brought in a cc dt 6'4 310 I hope will help. Strange things can happen...if Mizzou's or K.U.'s, or K.S.U.'s quarterbacks go down weird things can happen.Nebraska lost their coke head quarterback last year. I thought Nebraska's old coach was a real prick. He had the famous quote attacking Freeman being a drama queen or something cause how dare he not come to Nebraska. It takes a big man(retard) to attack a 18 year old kid in the media over something like that. I don't think Tom would ever do something so scumbag as that. Thats why I think Nebraska may get their asses handed to them in Manhattan. I think osbourne will right the ship in Lincoln though. I remeber nu had a nosetackle Glover that was my hero in the 70's. And can anyone remember the Selmon brothers that played for Oklahoma Lucious. Leroy, and Dewey. Leroy was my main hero...he could go sideline to sideline from the nosetackle position. 3 year starter for O.U.. In the pro football hall of fame. Dewey was the bad boy. Leroy was pretty decent tempered running like a 4.8 40 yard time. I always remembered the signs in the stands that read "thank god for mama selmon." I remember reading in sports illustrated about how coach swizer went to recruit Lucious Selmon on there little farm and he noticed Lucious's little brother with a 200 pound pig uder each arm moving them to a different pen. Their dad had died pretty young of a heart attack. Anyway enough about the big uglies. What is the best way to get ksu tickets? Manhattan paper or internet or what?

My base donation per season ticket seat is $ 250 to keep them plus $ 32 per game ticket.

Could he sit in the student section if he had the ticket validated? I know that's what we had to do at Nebraska. If a person wanted to sit in the student section they had to have it validated and pay full price for the ticket. So a ticket that would cost the student $20 would end up costing the outside individual about $45?

aj,
How is Jordan doing at K-State? I saw that he had been starting last year. When I was going to school at Colby(long before I became the coach), I used to go over to Goodland a couple times a week and wrestle with him. He was a stout individual but having a year of college wrestling under my belt sure helped me out in keeping up with him even though he out weighed me by about 20 pounds at the time (Much larger margin now I would expect).

He started as a redshirt freshman at K-State at offensive center I believe. The regular guy went down so his first game was against Oklahoma and of course he was lined up against a fifth year senior his first game. Three year starter and i suppose he should start his final year but has battled Hand and wrist injuries. I don't hardly know them but his granddad Waldo Jarmin is and was a hard working tough old boot kind a guy who farmed right next to us. They are just a bunch of hard working, damn good people and when you get a local kid playng d-1 sports it is kinda cool. I know Brooke Beringer who played quarterback for Nebraska the one national champ year was from Goodland also. Kinda the same kind of story. It is kinda cool...my dad played baseball at K-State in the 50's. There was a black kid on the the team named Woods. This was just as segregration was just starting to even out and what not. Anyway, it turns out this woods guy ended up in a military career and ended up being the father of Tiger Woods. Its not always about winning and loosing ...the stories behind the atheletes and the hard work they put in should be appreciated. If you butted heads with Bedore, that would be bragging rights in itself I would think.

Most people forget that celebrities are just people. Jordy Nelson was one of the first people to come look at my folks farm when it came up for auction. I have family in KC that were upset that we didn't get his autograph when he visited. We have known Jordy's family our whole life and his grandpa raises angus cows five minutes down the road we weren't about to ask for his autograph. He was there for three hours and we never once talked about football other then the housing market in Green Bay. Aj I remember when Brooke died we were out visiting the Schillings. I was over at Dianes flipping through channels and it popped up on ESPN.
