Correct direction to comb hair

When I was growing up showing we were taught to brush the hair up  now I see a lot of people are going from back to front with hair. I do both methods now just depends on the day.  What is everyone's opinion on this.  Does one way look better. Thanks.

i always brushed leg hair up and body forward. but that was years ago.

Up and forward is the way we do it.

We brush
Legs-up
Body-45 degrees up & forward
Top-forward
Butt-from center out
Bottom of Belly-straight down if depth is needed.
