I had one out of an smokey x angus cross cow about a month ago. I'm not sure what the deal was. I do know that a couple of my round bales had a little bit of mold in them, but have not had any other abortions. I would definitely be looking at your feed for mold, and then I would test those two cows for all six strains of Lepto and probably go ahead and test for IBR and a few others.

Definately test the cows for the diseases that the others mentioned.  If you have another (I hope you don't) it's worth taking to your vet or state lab for testing--send the placenta too.  Also, you might want to have your hay tested for nitrates.  If its too high it can kill the calf, thus causing abortions.
