Cow calf pair dilemma.

I'm a procrastinator. I have show entries due today and I haven't decided what I want to bring yet. I have the option to show a cow calf pair which is where my issues lie. How young is too young to bring a calf to a show? Is there trailering specifics I need to know about hauling a cow calf pair?
I really would just like to get the cow in the ring one more time but while the calf is there I might as well enter the cow calf division as well....if I do decide to bring the pair.

When is your show? At this point I would say that the calf is too young. My county recommends that the calf is at least 2 months old to show.

That's too young. It's immune system might not be able to handle the stress and bacteria at the show grounds. Now if the show is still a couple months away, go for it. Stalling is a bit different. The traditional side by side could get a young / small calf squished even by it's dam. Too easy though to get simple dividers to block any neighbors. The trailering however. Just tieing them near but not close to each other should do.

Agreed.  We show a lot of pairs and 2-3 months old is the minimum that I would expose to the stress of showing.  Anything less is asking for a wreck.
