Cow losing teeth

Hi everyone! Hope y’all are doing well during these crazy times!

Just bought a few cow calf pairs. Some were 8-9 years old. Found a set of teeth in the feeder this morning. Online it says cows won’t lose teeth until 12 years of age. Please take a look at the pic and let me know your thoughts! Cows appear healthy and in good shape. Are they just much older than 8-9 or could something else be wrong?

I can't answer the question of what age cows loose teeth.  I just know that I regularly find teeth in the mangers like your picture where my cows from 18 months to 14 years are eating.  Never associated this with any problem.

Here where I live.......cows that are 7 years old are considered to have worn out teeth. I have always heard that 18 month bull calves loose teeth at 18 months and thus they can go down hill for a period of time.
