Seems like steerjockey is reputable, has great cattle, and a lot of things going for him.  However, some methods, posts, etc. just rub people the wrong way as they come off in print on the forum.  Part of learning I guess.  There are a lot of us out here window shopping, kicking tires, lookey looing and watching marketing methods that do or do not work.  Someone has to provide the entertainment.  Keep up the hard work, but take the criticism with a grain of salt.  I was kinda annoyed by the post that "hey I have a great one, but it's a secret as to who or what he is."  If you want to market on here, just be up front what you are marketing.  Oh well this thread was entertaining.  Good luck with your bull.

Steerjockey I thank you for putting up his pedigree. That let me know if i was interested.By putting that up it kept me from calling and wasting your time and mine. I apologize for everyone jumping on you. I have an intrest in shorthorns so that is why you haven't heard from me.

Steerjockey, glad to see you put a price and sire, thats going to weed out the I guess window lookers and people like that, people know the price and sire, and if they wanna know the quality of calf or a picture or arrange a visit to the farm, thats where you need to call to call the owner and set something up for sure. I dont know you personally, but have seen your calves and if you are keeping him a bull then it's gotta be a good one. Good Luck and hope you guys get him out to "the yards" in 2010!!!

thanks to those of you who have stuck up for me if you must know the reason i didnt wanna let too much info out is i wanna keep it between me and the new owners till its finalized as its better in the end to kinda suprise attack the bull market with something not many people have seen or heard of just a different approach not trying to say nobody is good enough to know.Anyways a quick update he was just named overall champion maintainer bull at the 2009 Canadian jr. National Maine Show today!! There have been lots of serious phone calls and I'll have pics for those people this week if anyone else is interested please call

I'm not interested, but I'll put my 2 cents in anyway.  I think to know if I want to make a long distance call a breed or pedigree is not too much to ask, if you don't want to post a price I can certainly understand that, but posting that price will weed out the I want a calf for nothing guys.  As far posting a picture, I wouldn't consider posting a picture of a display bull prior to going to Denver, most pictures don't do a calf justice and if most are like me, I start looking for the flaws when a picture is posted, I guess if he were mine, I would hide him out and save the element of suprise for Denver.

To Millwood Farms-the next time you want to be critical of how someone does business, please use spell check and correct punctuation it will make your statement mean so much more if you appear to be somewhat intelligent.

That is one "stout" lookin hombre", Raymond. That fella could work well in a lot of scenario's.Has he got any "Horn" blood in him at all?[shortie]. If he is "clean" the Shorthorn Plus classes could get even tougher in the near future. Best of luck selling him,I just hope you let some of your poorer friends have access to some semen[ha ha] Good Luck Raymond and be ready for the onslaught of criticizm you and your bull will undeservedly recieve.....
