I was very interested in the Mr. Wheeler article, an what was said is up to us to sort through an use our common sense to think an vote how we want to, an  I hope we will aiway's have that right--- Change is good , if it is a good change for our country , but it is difficult for me to trust someone that is not proud of his flag or pledge of allegiance, or the sacrifice of our people perserving this. If you judged this election like a steer show , they would both be thrown out for using  to much air.

First off, I hate politics. The only thing I hate more than politics is politians. That being said....

The thing that scares me about obama is that he is a minority and that makes most (if not all) minorities want to follow him, regardless of what he stands for. They will follow just because of WHAT he is, not WHO he is.

The thing that scares me about mccain is that he seems be a "me" man. Not a team player, not one to negotiate with anyone or anything. He will do what is best for him and that is that.

So....that leaves me in a quandery....who do I vote for??? Not sure, but I WILL vote. Why? Because that give me the RIGHT to complain and )(*&( the next four years. (Something I seem to have a natural talent for!!)
If ya don't vote, then shushhhh, you have no right to complain.

I don't believe anything I read in politics, everything has a slant, sometimes you just have to follow your gut.
Heck, have you looked at mccains voting record? and in the famous words of a Dr. on TV "So, hows THAT been working for you??"

NO, we not only are not ready for 2 months of either of these 2, I don't want 4 years of either of them, but like Show Heifer, lives were lost for me to have the right to vote, it is a privelege and I will vote.

After living through 6 months of bureaucratic meddling in the lives of Colorado people so that the DNC could have the big party and disrupt our lives........I am sick of politics too.

The DNC cost the taxpayers alot of cash.  The latest figure is 150 million. Since they had their candidate, it would have made sense to donate that $$$ to charity or social programs.  I am sick of "Recreate 68" and all of the wacko disruption in our work!!!

Again, I will reiterate, if you don't like the topic, skip it.  Nobody is forcing you to read this.  If you are having a bad day, go kick something and move on.  If the others are having fun discussing, why ruin it for everybody else.

.....and Obama's team just released a statement that discussing the girl's pregnancy is OFF LIMITS.  Seems even a politician can, on occasion, rise above it.

While I believe that some people take things far too literally, why would I think that a post entitled "email" would be a political diatribe? Perhaps if people titled their posts to reflect the content we could ignore what we are not interested in.

I am not having a bad day, I do not need to kick something, and I do not need to move on. In fact I am having a quadrant 4 day. And why is it that because I disagree with you that I am ruining it for everyone?? Aren't we suppose to be a board that allows other opinions even if it disagrees with the prevailing popular opinion? Didn't people give their lives so we could voice our opinion as well as vote? Maybe that only works if we all agree with you, pity.

Cowz&  DL: am I going to have to separate you 2? Or maybe lock you both up in the same room together till you can play nice w/ each other?
Blame me on the kicking thing. i told cowz I was having one of those days & thought I'd go kick killer Kitty. Now before animal cruelty is called, I'd never kick Killer & he is almost big enough to kick me!

Dori- i heard the announcement from Obama's camp. But think the bashing i has already started by others. too bad, she has her plate full w/ a son off to war, a down's syndrome child & now this. I wonder what in her life will suffer first?

I believe all of the children should be left out of it.  I'm not sure what a 17 year old getting pregnant has to do with a presidential race, I can guarantee you that at 17 my parents had very little control over most of my decisions.  You raise them right and hope they turn out ok, but at some point they make their own choices and they are theirs to live with.

Jill - right on!

I do not believe that not always agreeing means someone is not "playing nice" - in the context of the comment I will reiterate "I am not having a bad day, I do not need to kick something, and I do not need to move on. In fact I am having a quadrant 4 day."

lj - yes that works, thanks

i honestly believe he will....and it would be wise to leave it alone for the republicans as well....i have already heard one republican " damage control" guy on fox try to justify the "situation" by saying that it was a"decision" that the girl made all on her own to have the baby......a decision...a choice....just simply made the "choice "of having it....a popular choice of the republicans.these days ...a gay vice presidents daughter...and a pro choice candidates daughter....how did that happen??....it takes/took alot of work and real constitutional government accountability to "amend" our Constitution years ago.....lest us not forget it was our parents and grandparents generation that were "our age now when this was going on.....and they approved it as a majority through the representation of the times"....what do they think now?.....lest us not forget that before that....an upstanding political figure ( especially )  could  FORCE  her daughter to have an abortion in any big city on the east or west coast, and never be accountable at all........only thing necessary it took was  money (cash)...and some folks "who new those kinds of things".........we had a problem as a nation ( per capita) with our young girls getting pregnant...this is the late 50's early 60's....sound familiar......alot of the "doctors"  werent doing a real good job at the time.... and alot of folks died or had terrible consequences...both physical and mental....and that was covered by our "press" at the time...(all three channels ) ........the fact that parents were able to "choose" to abort "there families"  babies " for what ever reason they "personally"  felt was a reason to abort a child was ok...."...political implications to a parent / pastors daughter/ fear of family or neighbor criticism/...it was ok then..( to some)....that constitutional am menmet stopped "adults""...from being able to force a minor to have an abortion as well...............35 years or so ago a 17 yr old aspiring politicians daughter/ or pastors daughter/ or farmes daughter  could have been taken  on a trip to the city and it  all would have just disappeared....the life was still taken..abortions were merely " morally accepted" .................i am glad this young lady has "decided" to have there baby.....and i hope she's glad she lives in the times that givers her that "choice"...jbarl

I find it quiet ridiculous that so many Americans in this modern day age feel they have to rely on a 2,000 year old text called the "Bible" that was written back during a time period when people lived in superstition.  God gave us all a brain along with intellectual thinking so we can make decisions for ourselves.  I don't need some 2,000 year old text to make decisions for myself.  That's why God gave us a brain folks.

The bible has many truths in it I will admit,  however in ever day life some things the bible says does not work in reality.  Plus who are we to say that the bible and christianity is the only true way?  Nobody can prove or come up with any credible evidence that the bible is the 100 percent authentic word of God.  In order to do so you would have to come up with credible evidence outside of the bible.  The bible itself is not credible evidence.  Nor is faith.

Plus many christians like to "cherry pick" certain bible verses that suits their own personal agenda while they ignore the other bible verses that condemns their own personal sins and shortcomings in life.

Voting will not fix this country's problems.  I don't care who you vote for it aint' gonna matter, because all of these politicians are a bunch of liars and crooks.  They tell all naive Americans what they want to hear and they know most Americans are stupid enough to believe it.

As for the comment, "If you don't vote, you have no right to complain".  Yes, I do have a right to complain because the system does not work.  It's the system that is messed up.  The political procedure in this country no longer works, and in order to fix it you will have to completely redo the whole entire system.

Jesus ain't gonna save this country either.  Human compassion, diversity, and people finding common ground, and working together is the only thing that will save this country.  Not some imaginary religious cult leader who has been dead for 2,000 years by the name of HEY-ZEUS (Jesus).

I wish the ballot would have "none of the above" as an option. I mean look at the candidates. Is this the best America has to offer? Or is it no longer a goal for us as Americans to have the best? Maybe we should have our politicians made in China too. (Would it be cheaper?)

Obama is as close to a European socialist as we have seen. Does he like anything American?

McCain is a great example of the permanent governing class that has developed in National politics. What happened to term limits?

This is in no way says they are bad people. But come on we should expect better.

(This has been an unpaid solicitation by the committee to draft Knabe for President) <alien>
