I have a cow that i want to flush and collect eggs on. Can someone give me some insight on what all goes into collecting eggs and the process of transferring these eggs into recipient cows? If you could please include rough estimates on prices I'd be paying as well? Your information is greatly appreciated.

I just had a cow flushed. With hormones, flushing, freezing and all total of 12 good eggs have $1250 in them. Cowboy will be able to give you industry averages.

Thanks for the referral guys -- !!  ;D

If I had done the cow here, the total for 12 good embryos in the tank would have as follows.

Drugs - 125
Flush -  175
Freeze - 10 x 25 --- 250
Freeze - 2 x 10  --    20
================
570 . 00

If she were here for a complete flush sequence of 60 days -- the feed would have added 240.

At most -- it would have been 810.00 after 60 days.

Recips are synced at home -- that cost would usually be about 15.00 per head started depending on how many you set up.

Transfer cost for me is 40.00 per embryo.

Travel (I usually TRY to stay home -- hehehe) is .40 cents per mile.

The average all over the place will vary significantly. OB's cost seems fairly high for out here though, although I don't know all the details. Many different scenarios fromplace to place, but I kow I Have always tried to keep things as low as possible and still stay in business. It's getting harder to do too I Might add.

Feel free to write if you have further questions -- I've been known to be fairly windy -- if you will!! hehe
