This is two of Carnac's progeny , the first picture is a full sister to the bull Muddy Water an she is the right kind .
Second picture is SILVER DOLLAR an he is good enough to use as a sire an still is a bull.
When these pictures were taken  (12-16-09) these calves had never been touched period , an no clippers ..

Really good lookin calves. What other bulls if any, do you use in yopur AI program? From most of your posts,it seems Carnac works really well. Are you happy with the Troubadore's?

One thing I really like about Carnac an Troubador is that I have had good quality semen , thats getting to be one of my most important considerations. This is a lot of work, Carnac  we used to start with because no ratails like Heat Wave an pretty moderate calving,an we were lucky an got Muddy Water , an that is the truth, because his mother would not be your first pick in our herd by a long ways, but she is getting the job done. Troubador is doing well for us , we have some spring calves coming also, not real sure how to use him yet but he definitely has his place.
We used Eye Candy on most of our Charolais cow's for this spring , flushed to Monopoly an could have 7-8
calves , about 5 to Milkman x Northern Guns full sister, an a few simmi's on some of our black's , but were kinda shotting in the dark on this.. We try to use trouble free mating's as far as structure an calving, an this has always been our program for our cow herd an I think it has paid of for the most part .Thanks for your interest TMJ an enjoy the contact , an talking about cattle. Jamie
