How's everybody got along with Hairy Bear??  Positives, negatives about his calves.  What kind of cow does he work best on???
Thanks

Have 5 so far this year. Very easy calving from mature cows. Cows are mostly angus, some of the calves are a little taller and more racey than what was expected. One is a little finer boned. Very nice calves though. We saw Hairy Bear today at Hawkeye, Other than being a little weak behind the shoulders, he looked good. jmo.I would use him  on thicker and more moderate cows.

How was his front end. structurally and cleanliness wise.  Lautners say to put him long necked cows, but people have told me he works to clean up fronts, was he good fronted?

I would consider Hairy Bear to be good fronted, but not extreme. The clubbie guys like a long neck and whistle front, and I would not call him that. He is well balanced, and I would call him very sound. IMO.
