Thank you! We’re sold on using a cruise control halter. We’ll picture on the 19th and have the online sale on October 2nd.

We have never used one of the cruise controls to halter break just to help out in first few shows. Do yall just use it under the regular halter during breaking or how do yall do it? I like the idea of it for breaking just never thought of it till this tread.

I can't imagine using a cable halter on a calf that doesn't know how to lead and definitely not tying one up with a cable halter.  Can you give more info on how you are using it on these calves.  Would hate to see someone tie up a green calf with a cable halter and cut off it's head.

3rd day of being tied and first day of being lead out of the catch pen. The cruise control halter didn’t cut up any of them. We used the rope halter when they were tied but only used the cruise control when leading a few of them out. Then back to the rope halter while standing. They all are getting tied for just 15 minutes right now with their heads tied lower.

Oh and the 3 we used it on, we knew were going to be jack wagons because we tied them up earlier this year. There’s a couple more that will get it today after yesterday because we are trying to stay ahead and do it right rather than let one figure out how to bow his shoulders and take his head. We’re trying to stay away from using a donkey this year.

I get it.  Was concerned an inexperienced person might read the post and go tie up their new calf with one -- might not be a pretty site if a calf set back and cut his own head off.

It seems to be working. They lead like ladies and a gentleman yesterday. Cotton roping gloves are a must though.

I’m curious to see once we start rinsing and blowing. He’s an Uncle Kracker
