Would anybody know of a place that I could buy a used (preferably) or new harness for a donkey? I'm not neccesarily going to break cales that way, but I have access to a donkey if I need it, and I would like to be prepared.

Thanks

Are you going to drive the donkey or break a calf?  If your breaking a calf, we use a big thick webbed collar used on dairy animals.  Worked great and has a big d-ring to hook the calves too.

If your wanting to drive your donkey, try a local amish man.  OR valley vet has driving harness in there catalog.

I should have re-phrased that. I don't WANT to break them that way, but if I had to, I want to be able to do it that way. Where did you find that collar?

I believe Sullivan supply, or many others for that matter, have what is called a cow neck strap. The larger and wider style is called a bull neck strap. These have large buckles and a D ring to tie to.They look like a very large dog collar. Don't worry, the donkey won't choke, and they work just fine.

Just checked on Sullivan's website.......looks like it could double as a belt to hold my britches up!!! ;D I wonder if it would fit a 33" waist???
