put her on vita ferm sure champ pellets , give her a B12 shot a few days before ya leave to increase her appetite and maybe take a bag of a different feed than what you feed every day, maybe she will eat something a little different

+1 on the Vita Ferm Sure Champ Pellets.  The Amaferm helps keep their stomach "right" = less likely to go off feed.

Feel your pain.  Our "Diva" would not eat at shows.  She liked the custom horse feed we had done so we took a bag of that buuuttt she didn't like it mixed into the cattle feed, she like it sprinkled on top like frosting.  She would eat the frosting them a bit of show feed then turn her head as if to say "more please".  It was extreme but we could get her to eat a pan at least and we always took 2 or three types of hay.  Her regular, straight alfalfa and some timothy.  We used appetite express a day before the show and during the show as well.  And her water had to be ran through the filter as well.  She was the tamest, sweetest heifer, best showing heifer so she was worth the effort.

I feel like I've worn out this line, but we keep getting new inhabitants on this Planet, so here goes.............Cattle are Dumb, Stupid creatures of habit!  Every time you change something from their regualr routine, it affects them, usually in a negative way.  The best solution to travel is simply more travel.  As it becomes routine to jump in the trailer, bounce around for a couple of hours, and get out in strange surroundings, your calves will get adapted.  For the short term, try to make everything as close as possible to home.  Use the same ropes and halters.(always have calves tied when feeding) Going to a show so often changes feeding times.  Don't allow that to happen!  Always feed at the same time of day.  Feed in the same bucket as at home.  Take water from home, and water in the same bucket.  If you work hair in a pen, don't stick your calf into a chute at the show.  What has been said about mineral is correct.  Regardless of brand, make sure your calves ingest the recommended amount daily.

Vita Charge drench works really good. Just give it once a week and the night before you travel and that should help. The gallon jug works in my opinion better than the stuff in the tube. It will lighten up your pockets a little, bit but will help alot.

I would highly recommend using "Enhance" from Rowe Nutrition LLC. You can find it at www.rowenutrition.com. We use this to keep cattle on feed, bring them back on feed, and help them eat more. It works.
