I have a shorthorn heifer that's a little over a year old. It's been in the 50's down to the 30's over the past couple of weeks and she has been sweating really badly. any advice on what to do about it?

cattle can't sweat; they cool themselves by panting, like a dog or a pig or a sheep.

If your animal is wet it would probably be a condensation of cold, wet air on her warm body.
This is not a healthy environment for a cow; damp, cold air can be a trigger for pneumonia starting.
