help with a angus hiefer

i have a hiefer that is out of an ali X daines icon herd bull and a occ cow, and shes fine 90% of the time but the other 10% she gets one step ahead, jumps 4 feet in the air back feet come down and she slides like a hockey puck. anything i can do??  ???    ive been told it is the nature of the angus breed but i know shomeone who has a hiefer out of an occ bull that is puppy dog tame?    (sorry if this is hard to understand)

Had to turn out a heifer that goes back to Habanero, because is just too damn head strong. Lose some, win some all i can hope for is her calves don't turn out the same way. She was number three in the barn and probly didn't get the attention she deserved, oh well got some weight and growth on her anyways.

shes not headstrong tho you can lead her and she does great then about 3 times out of 10 its like she gets shocked by a cattle praud and she bolts

Make sure she is not a little sore under the jaw were the halter dubs if you have been working her a lot.  That can set them off sometimes. 
And sometimes you just get one that is easily spooked.  Hopefully with time and patience she will relax for you.
