Well, I know this isn't a fair example but we had our first I Am Legend calf.  It is a heifer out of a Specialist cow. I have never had much desire to use unproven bulls but really liked that bull in Denver last year.  I bought a few straws to use and ended up keeping this old Specialist cow in the small handful that we didn't disperse.  Mostly I kept her because she usually has a giant calf and I didn't want to sell her bred to Legend not knowing what kind of birthweight to expect.

Well, she laid down last night...or at least I think she did...and had a beautiful heifer calf.  I put her in the barn right after her water broke and 40 minutes later the calf was on the ground and up sucking!  She weighs 94 lbs, all four legs go the right direction, beautiful front, tons of hair, big square hip and huge top.  I am VERY impressed!  That was a good risk and I would do it all over again!
