Did a search on him but did not find anything that was very recent. Have any of you had calves out of first calf heifers by him? Would you consider him safe for clubby heifers?

He will make them good though, I have a trifecta heifer in the show pen. may want to breed him to something with a little more bone. he wont take away bone but he wont add any either. hope this helps

You're right, ALTSIMMY79 ! In the long run, it doesn't. ;D
I'm just trying to keep my calves purebred for the time being. Better demand for PB in my area, and we have mostly angus cows in our commercial herd. Then the calves are 1/2 to 3/4 Simmental if I use my homebrew bulls. In a few years, I'll come back in with Angus, but for now PB Simmi's are walking the pastures here ;D
The majority of the cattle in my area are a high percent angus, and the half and 3/4 heifers are bringing pretty good prices at area sales. Many people want a Simmi bull to mate to their angus to get the desireable cross. Plus, there are way fewer Simmental breeders in my area than angus.Cut the BS said:Simmgal said:ALTSIMMY 79 said:I don't think it matters Simgal , that Trifecta bull looks way good ! that's odd-- in our area-- purely the opposite... My neighbor- just bought some more cows- now over 600-- can't sell a purebred Sim for anything.. and bred everything for half bloods this year, unless they were the few purebred cows-- of which got bred to half blood bulls for 3/4's. I don't think he has but about 10% purebred Angus cows- most are F1's getting bred back to F1 bulls.
FYI: he just bought a new, baby brother of the 2 year old OPTIMUS PRIME full brother.

YES. Do you need my e-mail?
So he has two siblings? Must really like the genetic package..or the actual package..or both. Sounds like an interesting situation!
