Hello this is my Maine Anjou and Shorthorn crossbred breeding heifer, she is just now a yearling and we have been doing quite well at shows but she is always 2nd place. She has got a great side and front view and the widness of the hips but just doesnt have the muscle over and in the rear end, any suggestions in feed or exercise?

Hello, in my few years of showing, I found that a lot of walks up hill really gains muscle in the hind quarters. That and a good feed program.

I wouldn't do anything different. You have a nice heifer. Sometimes it's better to be the one in second place and not push them too hard. Get her bred, get a live calf out of her. :)
