how are the monopoly money calves looking as fat steers. I have seen some damn good babies but never heard much about them as they mature.

We have a Mono $ steer this year.  He is weighing about 1300 now, and will go to the County Fair in a couple weeks.  We bought him for a late September show, and want to take him out once before then.

I guess I will say that he looks pretty good.  Is he the greatest show steer to walk the face of the earth...of course not.

What I like about the few that I have seen is they are real "honest".  Very smooth made, more lower quarter than a Monopoly, and naturally deep flanked.

I have never seen one with great hair.  I would say that our steer is more along the lines of bad haired.  I am hoping it won't matter although his hair is starting to come along now.

I like this steer a lot, but he has a little too much front end to be great.
