Since we were on the JPJ and Mulefoot rumor I thought I'd go back and rename some of my calves appropriately . Red necked calf is out of a JPJ son, Red/White calf is out of JPJ, and the big steer is one we showed out of JPJ that was State Champion Shorty Steer and  Reserve Grand at our State Show back in '09 I think.

I know - just posting the pics to mainly be sarcastic - I've used him a lot as well as the son pictured above and I haven't seen any sign of it. Mulefoot has been around forever and I question why it came up right before the Denver Sale that has a lot of his influence in it ????

I happen to be very good friends with his owner and I don't appreciate a rumor. If it's fact that's fine ... We've had some very good steers out of him that have went into the college fund and that's a good thing.  Again, I don't appreciate it, Dustin don't, Jungels don't, as well as Plumbtree and Ohlde don't. Also, my Daddy don't cuss me neither does anybody else (in person) anyway so .....I don't appreciate that either.

You and a couple of other posters have nothing but negative BS to spew about the breed, it almost appears that you would like to destroy the breed by blaming everyone else for it's problems.
I don't know where the rumor of mule foot came from but it is avery serious allegation and I hope it is nothing but a rumor. If it turns out to be true breeders will have to be very diligent about sorting it out.

I'm not spreading it... TO be honest, due to SP is how I found out about it... From a very well respected- knowledgeable source... who knows as much about historic and current breeding programs as anyone in the breed....

Thanks ! 4 and 5 are the same calf - one the day he was born and the other a month or so old - for sale btw ! We've used JPJ a lot, have seen 100's of his calves at other farms, and I haven't seen any defects. Just posted the pics so people wouldn't think it's just my opinion. If it's proven that's fine ..... until then it's just a rumor to me. He's not nor has ever been the savior of the breed but does have his place as I've stated many times before. I have semen and will continue to use it.
