Mutation in wild elephant

We are always hearing about mutations in domestic animals but here is one that seems to have given a wild bull elephant and advantage!

It really shouldn't be a surprise that the smaller animal had an advantage. It's all about leverage. I had a jersey gomer bull that was outweighed by 800 to 1000 pounds by my Brangus herd sires. The Brangus bulls knew not to mess with the jersey because he would whip them every time.
