I know there are some results already posted on the NAILE website.. I've been watching some of the live feed today which has been pretty fun.

Looks like Daniels had Grand from OH. I really liked this calf from what I could see watching the show on the computer. Reserve was from Tx, It was a Meiers calf. I was surprised that neither calf was black but that is a good thing imho.

I really liked that calf from Daniels, according to the website he was a HW x Desert Storm. Looks like they had a very successful weekend so far. Anyone know what the Winegardners calf was out of? That calf sold from Daniels sold for like 6 something if I ain't mistaken yesterday.

I know the high seller was somewhere in the 8s and I think it might have been from Cooksey but don't hold me to that. I heard that prices were way off and I've got a buddy who picked up a nice double bred fear this calf weighing 700#'s for $600

Cooksey had a few good ones going down I sure would liked to have picked up one of his for $600.00  <cowboy>
It wouldnt suprise me if his Carnac topped the sale, several folks were buzzing about that calf all fall.

I bought a Dr. Who steer wieghing 650 for $975. My sisters bought two angus steers weighing 600 for $900. The market seemed down, I was expecting to pay a lot more than that for a good steer.

the steer show was rough. one of the classes, i think class seven, would have been a nightmare to judge or for some people i guess they would consider it a fun challenge. there were about five steers i thought could have won the class. it was the class with the smokey almost orange calf that won the class then a couple red calves a black one and a baldy in the top five of the class. personally i liked the baldy but all five were good.

It WAS rough...the Shorthorn show was really good too. On a different note, has anyone saw the calves that Garrett Show Cattle has? I have a personal interest in their Ali heifer...

i was impressed with the bred and owned shorthorns for sure. very competitive shows all around. lots of nice heifers. couldn't stay for the open show but i'm sure it will be even tougher than the junior show.

I didn't get to stay either...just got home about an hour ago!  But it sure will be tough, there are some DANG nice heifers.  I can't wait to get back down there Wednesday!  Get ready Lowline folks, you're gonna have a Shorthorn dude on your hands!

Shawn, they won the pen show too. Pretty good calves.  I liked a few of the steers, would have liked to see more Shorthorns in there though....I'm thinkin about maybe putting a pen together in the next couple years.

Rockin' J always seems to put together a tough group. Would love to have seen it.
