Going to Clarenville, Newfoundland on Feb. 1st. I'll be there for 10 days, don't know that I'll have much spare time but if I do is there anything interesting there?

There is not much of an agricultural industry there except for dairy, chicken and some cropping. Definately take in some whale watching and/or iceberg siting. I have only been to Cornerbrook and they have an excellent alpine ski resort there called Marble Mountain. If you want to come to the other east coast island I'd be happy to give you a tour!
Inniskillen winery is the wine you try when you're visiting the Royal Winter Fair. I know that they were one of many wineries at the show.... most beautiful commerical exhibition anywhere....the Royal Winter Fair.. Yes- the icewine should taste better then most muscat, riesling left on vine and harvested by hand after freezing temperatures - exteremely small quantities. Last I knew Inniskillen does practice traditional icewine ways... this might also be a good stop for Cabernet Franc too??knabe said:Try and find inniskillin winery and try their ice wine, an outrageous dessert wine. Waaaaaaaaay better than muscat.
