He's done a lot right...just a good solid, middle-of-the-road Angus bull that makes good females, IMO.
Might have to go back to him for use on some of the older Angus cows here before they rotate off the farm.

Walking herdsire here, who's been doing mostly cleanup behind AI for the last 7 years, is out of an 878 daughter.  Counted the other day...out of 75 females currently in production, he sired about 20 of them; most of the others are out of his own daughters.  Has, without a doubt, outperformed any other Angus sire we've used in the past 10 years, with regard to making good females.  Steers have been OK, but nothing earth-shattering...but his daughters have been pretty nice - though most are carrying quite a bit more frame than the old SimAngus cows they came out of.

Must be he doesn't carry the dd defect that 036 has?
The Angus cows that I started with are out of 036 sons and they have been such great cows Around 1400 lbs, terrific udders, legs feet, longevity, capacity, fertility. They say a square butted cow will be less fertile, but I have sure not seen it in these.Going strong at 10 plus years, never a calving problem and breed right on time.
Their daughters do the same regardless of crossbreeding.
Many I know have ridiculed my loyalty to these mainstream Angus cows over the more politically correct Angus tribes, but I think that whatever is in 036 works. Too bad about Mr Angus though.
