New Simmental Heifer, Suggestions?

To start off I will be the first to admit I have had very limited experience with simmental genetics. I purchased a 3/4blood bred heifer at Sloup Simmental's sale yesterday. She is a real powerful ground sow, moderate build and polled/black. Here is her pedigree: 2876071

She is bred to Bismarck for her first calf. I was wondering from you simmental breeders:
What bulls cross well with the Dew It Rights? I'd prefer at %Simmy bull over a PB, but enough to keep the resulting calf at least 50%. Baldy/Blaze faces are also preferred (they just are more marketable for me). I breed for show calves, but heifers must work in the pasture after.
Also for those of you that have crossed Clubby bulls with your simmental cows, which bulls have done the best for you?

I would look into One Eyed Jack. He is a purebred, but he is throwing calves with thickness and style to burn. He is also a baldie.

I also like Houston, but depending how moderate your female is he might take away too much frame size.

A couple others that intrigue me for this scenario, which I don't have much experience with, would be Trifecta, Heads Up, and Sheriff Taylor.

From what I heard, Sloup's sale was pretty amazing. It must have been fun to take in.

Purebred bulls that should work and have a blaze face.  Also should give you a functional heifer to put in production when finished showing.

Flying B Final Cut-  I have known the Brown's for several years and they breed functional cattle that also have eye appeal.  I have never bred any Final cut but I have used Fat Butt (full sib).  Final Cut may be a little iffy to breed a heifer, (calving ease).

I like these three. We tried upgrade on a few dream on cows to see how that works. Should have them on the ground this spring.

I think I am going to breed some to him this year. Plus breed some to upgrade.

It was quite the site to take in, but they deserve it. Nick is a great guy, a few weeks ago he gave us a all-around tour of their program that ranged from open heifer calves to bulls (Lock-Out is a good looking bull, heifer safe too), to their donors and bred heifers. Was a program/family who's genetics I wanted to put in my herd.

Thanks for the suggestions, many of these are bulls that caught my eye when I initially was looking through bulls and will dig into them deeper. How about Blacklash? I like his combination of Meyer 734 then a shot of Angus/Maine.

I'm gonna add CLRWTR Shock Force W94C. He's a 3/4 Simmental with a blaze.

It really depends on where you want to take your program.
We love Upgrades, have three fall calves out there right now, and several cows in production. You got to watch structure with him, they tend to be a little straight in the rear, and pop pasterns. But if your heifer has good flex I would use him, plus he has great numbers!
I have seen some really nice Head's Up, an Upgrade son. Jerry Lee originally bought him, sold him back, and loved his calves so much he now runs him on clean up (leases him). He told me he would use him on heifer also, but we have not had any yet to experience that. I do have 10 straws I plan on trying this fall.
Chopper seems to add style and hair. But I think he can be inconsistent.
Lock N Load is a hit and miss. Seem some I did not like, but I have a few in the pasture right now I love (out of the SS U Misty Nights cow).
One bull mentioned, Houston, has horrible EPD's, and for that reason I will not use him. But we are seed stock, so we watch our numbers closely.
I am really liking the CARD Uproar calves I have seen also. And he has a white face.
The great thing about Simmentals, there are a ton of good bulls out there now so it all depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

Will be interesting to see calves out of Rodgers "the outsider" this spring. I gambled and used him on a kadabra hfr. He is a half blood and sure looks the part. Also, like Houston, high regards has terrible #s but the phenotypes of both bulls progeny are excellent, which is more important to me. Nice female you picked up btw

Firesweep: Honestly, my entire market is build around the show ring. That is why I am either looking for a half-blood bull that will throw the show ring look for a %Simmy heifer to market. Or a bull that will produce females that can then be crossed into the clubby bulls (this is why my uneducated initial thought was Backlash). Hope that helps narrow it down, but I agree there are so many Simmy bulls that have "the look" in my opinion.

Gargan: Thanks for the compliment. I too was intrigued by Outsider, but the angle of his photo really bothers me (his front feet are quite a bit higher then his back). I would prefer to see his offspring before I think about using him. Keep me updated on how his calf looks for you in the spring.
