Does anybody besides me have a problem with Obama going on Leno? I mean not only is it going to cost us taxpayers a  #*@%load  of money, but what is it going to gain him.  I mean he has already won the presidency. I think he is just trying to stroke his own ego ,so he can tell everyone how cool he is & how much everyone loves him.

I think it is an utter disgrace!  If you have something to say, you have the national media, why cheapen yourself by going on late night TV?

for a voting majority, if you list obama's policies and place different people's names by the policy, say bush, they don't like the policy.

frankly, both democrats and republicans disgust me.  again, they only try and bribe you with your own money because we are too stupid to vote someone in who promises not to spend your money on functions that have no bearing on the original responsibilities of the federal government.

obama is only doing what he knows how to do.  smooze.  he doesn't know what an honest day's work is.  he doesn't write legislation, thinks the bill of rights are negative rights, and only agitates for money for people who didn't do any work.

i say smooze all he wants, the sooner we can get rid of him and his policies.

coach k at duke.  "Somebody said that we're not in President Obama's Final Four, and as much as I respect what he's doing, really, the economy is something that he should focus on, probably more than the brackets," Krzyzewski told a reporter from the Associated Press on Wednesday.

obama can't focus on the economy because he doesn't understand capitalism.  the only thing he knows about capitalism is to identify who has money, and then sue them.  look it up.  the guy has never created a job independent of government in his life.  why the american public thinks he can help in this area is a mystery.  perhaps it isn't a mystery, as they simply want money from people who create and we have finally reached a tipping point.

more on this democratic garbage.

Dodd: You know, now I remember adding that bonus language.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/03/18/dodd-treasury-officials-i_n_176609.html

Chris Dodd is a liar.

"Well, the alternative might have been that the entire provision would have been lost, as I said. And that’s what happened with several provisions in the bill. And so the question at that moment is, do you take what’s seen at the time as relatively innocent modifications, no one was talking about AIG at all at this point, or do you end up taking some modifications that allow you to keep the substance of what you’re trying to accomplish?"

this is exactly why congress are fools.  they can't comprehend anything regarding unintended consequences especially when manipulating the private sector.  the public should be outraged and demand his resignation, geitner's, obama, the entire finance committee of both parties, but the public is too stupid paying attention to the bailout money and pork they are going to receive.

It strikes me wrong when he is on T.V. filling out his bracket when there are probably more important issues!!!!!!

I heard Leno gave a bunch of laid off Union workers tickets to his show. A lot of them put their tickets for sale on EBay. Leno had them removed from EBay.

what a jerk.  the union guys were able to make money selling tickets improving their situation than by watching a person who doesn't understand the first thing about capitalism.

FAIL

That's what I'm saying. That instead of allowing someone to better themselves by selling the tickets, Leno & I'm sure Husseins' people also were more worried about being able to brag about how they did good by donating tickets. Once again a prime example of the elitest thinking they know what's best for someone less fortunate.

more info for your liberal friends.

"The fact that a majority of Americans, including Republicans and Democrats, are "outraged" about the AIG bonuses and want the government to take action to get the money back provides a strong mandate for lawmakers trying to resolve the issue."

right, so all we have to do is manufacture outrage by our own shortcomings to create after the fact laws.  folks, this is in the constitution to not retroactively penalize people.  no matter.  democrats don't understand law and want to get rid of the constitution.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/116941/Outraged-Americans-AIG-Bonus-Money-Recovered.aspx

will democrats vote democrats responsible for this mess out of office?  of course not.  this is democracy in action and exactly what the founding fathers tried to protect against.

democrats hate the constitution, desire, capitalism, everything they are not.  they are the most intolerant people i have ever met.

and now this.

http://www.iht.com/articles/2009/03/18/business/fed.php

folks, inflation is coming fast.  prepare yourself.  democrats, be prepared to be voted out of office in the midterms for not understanding job creation and business.

perhaps the democrats will cry discrimination if obama, frank, feinstein, boxer, oops wait dodd has to be on that list along with spector.  so pretty much throw the bums out.  i'd include mcconnell boehner and a few other republicans as well.

EPIC FAIL.

I guess having a bunch of laid off guys sitting in your audience is better than having those laid off guys make a tiny bit of profit.  I guess it's not so much as good will as good publicity?  I guess the story that would say that Leno helped a few guys make a quick buck is worse than saying he helped out the same guys by letting them sit in his audience, when they could watch for free at home.

Obama's "good intensions" are to get as much good publicity as possible.  He seems to crave the spotlight.

I'm going to agree with TJ!

I think Obama should've just run for Hollywood or something.    He could've achieved his desired result on a realilty TV show.. Survivor, Amazing Race,..  whatever.    He would have done a lot less damage.

Have you seen the latest Rasmussen and Gallup poll numbers.  Obama's approval rating has fallen below Bush's rating after 40 days in office.  His popularity is tanking fast.  He going to apease the people to get his ratings up.  He wants to look and feel like them so they feel in touch with him.  Why you ask?  He needs high approval poll ratings to push his socialist agenda through.  If his approval rating rating goes down any, so does his agenda.

obama is a high birth weight bull (taxes, printing money) with a -epd on weaning and yearling weights (inflation).  fertility is low too as democrats will lose seats in the midterms, maybe not enough for repukikans to gain either the house or senate.

the next two years are all about supreme court justices,so the republicans better take the senate.

I didn't vote for the guy.

But, wouldn't you be mad at someone for trying to sell something you gave them for free?  Especially when you normally sell that something.  Aren't these the same union workers most of us gripe about?  They are being knotheads trying to take advantage of Leno trying to do something nice for them.  Besides, not "anyone" is going to be allowed in that close of a setting to the President anyway.

Obama supposedly is trying to model his first days after FDR.  This is his version of the "Fireside Chat".  Honestly, I don't mind hearing from our President in whatever fashion one chooses.  In fact I'd much rather hear him talk - regardless of whether I like what he says or not - in a format like this than in their carefully crafted and rehearsed speeches.

the talk show format is just as carefully crafted and rehearsed as other formats.  it only gives the illusion of not being crafted.

In my opinion, the biggest buffoons in the history of the U.S. now run things.  And that's saying a lot because Washington, D.C., has been full of them for as long as I can remember.  The economic slow down has only served as an excuse for social engineering and the transfer of wealth.  There has never been a program run by the government that worked efficiently, without waste, and without lining someone's pockets.  There's a line in the movie The Outlaw Josey Wales that pretty much sums up how I feel about what our government is doing.  The ex-confederate general says, "Don't p*** in my boot and tell me it's raining!"  Think it is a coincidence that Chris Dodd was the number one recipient of AIG potilital contributions?  I will repeat again, as long as more people vote that think they are getting something for nothing than people who are paying for it, the nonsense will continue....Sorry, I still can't think of anywhere else I'd rather live.  We just have to demand better from our employees, our elected officials.  They should work for us, not the other way around.
