I THINK HE IS DOING A FINE JOB, AT LEAST HE IS DOING SOMETHING!!!!  I DON'T THINK ANYTHING CAN BE DONE OVER NIGHT, I LIKE THE WORDS HE SPEAKS, LETS GIVE HIM SOME TIME TO SEE IF THINGS WORK OUT LIKE WE ALL HOPE THEY SHOULD.  HE IS OUR PRESIDENT, WITH MOST OF THE PEOPLE IN THE U.S. PRAYING HE SUCCEEDS.

Before Obama is out of office we may no longer be the U.S.A., we might become known as the U.S.S.A.    ;)

I watched the last 10 minutes & it looked like a bunch of jack-in-the-boxes with all the standing ovations. I saw him brag about shutting down Gitmo & not torturing prisoners. They are not prisoners , they are terrorists & IMO it shouldn't be a concern.

Not to pick on anybody here, but this man says what the young people want to hear. And just what has he really done other than add another Trillion dollars to our budget. He claims that he is all about change. He said you cant keep electing the same people and expect a different outcome. Well it looks like everybody that he has appointed are all from the past presidencies.

What a bunch of sheep. Bobby Jindals' response was the only refreshing thing that I heard.

I don't know if I would joke around about that.  After the speach tonight with him talking about the Govt. watching over the banks making sure that they don't do anything that the govt. thinks are wrong doings.  (alot of which are what they forced the banks to do a few years ago anyways)  It kinda scares me.  Sounded like the beginning of losing our free markets.  Oh and he is not MY Pres.  I didn't vote for him.  I hate it when people say that.  He is the President of the USA, but not mine.  How many of the people that are shoveling that crap down our throats would have said that George W. Bush was Their president??? not very many.

I hope that I am joking, but I'm scared that I'm not.  U.S.S.A. is looking more likely all the time.

BTW, I wish that George W Bush was my president right now!  Or Palin.

The speech was good and I really felt like we have a President that seems like he is trying to do something about issues in the US... Unlike past presidents that give the same old speech and add to the problems that we already have.  I don't think that he will accomplish everything he said tonight but I hope he gives it his best to make sure that we move in that direction.  In case you missed it he will be saving allot of jobs, although unconventional, but I am willing to give him a chance to prove it to me than make narrow minded assumptions.  Time will tell....  :-\

Well, then he better get to saving those jobs. In case you didn't realize , in this stimulus check that he signed , there is more that will be spent in 2011 thru 2014 than will be spent in the next 18 months(correct me if I'm wrong). I don't know about you but I know a lot of people that won't be able to hold on until 2011. Then throw in the fact that he will probably let the tax incentives run out in 2010 & will start taxing people that $250,000 or more about then, doesn't sound good to me. I mean I want him to succeed , you would be crazy not to. I just think he is going about it wrong, just like giving $900 million to rebuild the Gaza Strip back so the can blow it up again. That money needs to stay here.JMO.

We do not have to give Oback Barama a chance. He has caused more irreversible damage in his first 30 days than any President in history. All the money that the city of Dallas is getting is going to the poor parts of town. How is this going to stimulate the economy if we pave new streets in front of crack houses?

OK, I wasn't an Obama fan. Not by a long shot. But he is our president whether we like it or not. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt for a couple more months. I just hope these new programs don't turn into big pork barrel items. We'll see......

Maybe he is going about it wrong... but a decisions have to be made and I am sure that he did not sit in a room alone and come up with this.... I am sure that there is a better way to go about it, but this is not a decision that can be made without effecting other issues..... To be honest anything that he (or any other president) would have come up with would have had a negative drop off in another area. I respect all the openions given because I don't care if it was McCain in office he would be getting the same criticism.... It is what it is...

AMEN TO THAT.  everybody knows that money just got pooped down the toilet!

it makes me sick anymore, every time one of these politicians, on either side, takes an oath where they say with their hand on the bible that they will defend and protect our constitution.  It is completely unconstitutional to take tax payer money and use it for social programs.

There is a politician in the northeast can't remember what state or if he is a rep of a senator but at least he is honest enough to let everyone know that he is a socialist.  I just wish that Obama, Reed, Pelosi and the rest of them would just come out of the closet, so people at least know what they are getting, these aren't your Kennedy Dem's.

Obama may want to remember before he compares himself to FDR that even his party realized they had gone to far and had too much power.

McCain wouldn't have spent over a Trillion dollars in his first month in office!!!!  So no he wouldn't be getting the same criticism.  Then Obama started talking about the Trillion dollar deficit that he inherited!!!!  I wanted to leap through my TV and let him know what being fiscally responsible really means.
