Thanks for the comments.  He is pretty exciting for a pure bred steer.  If the kids didn't have the barn full of bred and owned heifers already, or if Caroline was old enough to show at State fair, this one would sure be staying at home.

His dam is out of a VRD son we had from Les Craft in Indiana, back to a Sitz Allience 6595 cow on her bottom side.
