We have been showing breeding heifers for a couple of years and have seen many different class prep routines. One of which is to wash and blow out at 2:30 am then feed her grain and a gallon of water, then lay her down and give her a couple flakes of grass hay then a gallon of water then another 2 grass flakes followed by a gallon of water, then a flake of alfalfa hay followed by gallon of water, then repeat until you have to get her in the chute to get her ready for the class. Thirty minutes from class time let her tank up on water. What routines have been used to get a heifer ready for the ring?
