This steer has been to in 7 show rings and he will get to walking in there and then he will just stop or not go in ring. If we take him to wash rack and walk other places he will. We have done spike chain halter, rope halter, Phantom halter. The last show we gave him some calming down, also a chiropractor came out. Does anyone have any ideas?

They have people behind him and poke him with a pen also try to get others showman walk around him to get him going but don’t work. 3 guys picked up his rear to move him and didn’t bother him one him. I was thinking about seeing on a caffeine too?

Feed him in the show ring a couple tomes. That’ll fix it for sure.

Never resort to anything like smacking or yanking with a atv-truck etc cows aren’t gonna do it if they don’t want to…(you aren’t a ford f350 it can pull them by itself you CANT this is just going to cause extra stress and pain on their chins and ears which can create a whole other issue of having their faces messed with) so make it worse for them to NOT walk what I mean by this- they wanna sulk up-? Spin around and start RUNNING in a tight circles MAKE them move their feet switch directions go absolutely crazy they HAVE to move HECK tire em out they try laying down?- crank that neck back again make them realize that its just easier if they walk simply and set up they’ll recognize what the alternative to not listening is give it a few goes reward for behavior you want to see more of! good luck hope this helps
