Ive only showen durring the summer but I want to show at a few this fall and the weather has gotten pretty cold. How do you wash in the cold? Is there a way you can heat the water or do you just do it quick?

I guess it depends on how "cold" you are talking about?

Come to Agribition next month where it has known to be -40 and we'll tell you what cold is about.

Just wash and make sure you get them blown out quick. I've been at shows before where the calves had icicles before we could get them tied up to blow off.

The first thing I think I need to say is, NEVER WASH ON SHOW DAY!.  I know this doesn't answer your question, but I see this No, No all the time.  When you wash, you're washing and rinsing out essential oils needed to make your calf's hair shine.  If you will wash the evening before, and then condition, the hair coat will be much improved on Show Day.  It's never too cold to wash; just get inside, out of the wind, and you should have no problem.  The small space you are in, the warmer it will be.  If it is so cold the water is freezing on your calf, keep spraying.  The spray will knock off the ice.  You may have to do quite a lot of blow drying before you can comb and brush if the temp is below around 20 degrees. Be sure to condition with your favorite formula.

I totally agree! we wash the heck out of em and then oil em up the night before. The we like to rinse that morning to get any extra out. Always works for us
