Got a few pictures last night when checking cows. Little ones like that sure are stress relievers!

He is a bull calf out of Get Serious. Purebred shorthorn, I didn't actually weigh him but couldn't have been more than 65 pounds at birth and was a day over the due date. The dam's sire is TW Image who goes back to Stinger and his Grand Dam goes back to Double Stuff X Ka'Ba Keystone

Here is another pic of the Get Serious bull calf. Took this when he was just shy of 2 weeks old. Born Sept 13

Good to see our discussion last fall worked out so well.  I bred a heat wave to frienge this morning and same heat wave was bred to get serious last year and we now have a really good heifer.  I will show her off around December.  Go Back to the Well until it goes dry.

Thanks Carl! We are going back with Fringe and Get Serious, as well as Free Bird and Ar Su Lu Massive for a heifer. One of our 5 year old cows had a heifer out of Fringe that is a little straight on her hind legs. We decided to go with Sin City on her and another cow that is out of the same bull, it is too bad too, she is one of the coolest looking calves we have ever had.

The old cow is going to Kim Harsh on Friday and we are flushing her to Vortec and Fringe. Depending on how things go, we may go ahead and flush her to Double Stuff after that. We will see.

How many cavles are you going to have this year?

We are still rebuilding.  Calved out 7 summer and fall calvers.  All seem to be pretty good.  All Very Marketable.  We flushed a Red Sunseeker x Double vistion to KaBa Keystone and bred her back that way.  I guess we will see in april if it works.  We will have 7-10 head calve next spring.  Then we will shuffle them to summer calving  I have a interesting cow that is a grand daughter of Double Down.  Picked her up in OHIO.  she had a calf last year that sold for 5 digits.  Her calf is pretty nice, but probably not 5 digits this time.  We will be breeding her next week to Texas Twister.  Look him up. and you will say what the heck is he thinking.  I am curious what will lhappen in that mating.  We will continue to add special cows but just not in a hurry to get lots of cows. <beer>

Take care and congrats on the calves.  They look good.
