OK, I'm convinced. I'll get on the horn with Kit.  :D

I'm biased towards Doc (obviously), but that Machine bull is pretty good too.  I think I've heard that he has some good "carcass characteristics".  He shouldn't produce the performance or frame that Doc will though.  I don't know what his birth weight is, but I suspect that he's a real "easy calver" too.

Also, just a FYI, Kit's out of Doc semen right now & it may be later this spring before Kit has any.  He should have it before breeding season though.  PM me if you have questions or want details.

Will do.

You betcha.  If I end up keeping my heifer, she's getting bred to Doc.

And if I end up buying her, she's getting bred to Doc.  ;)

That should be a nice calf, btw!

Fitz is a good bull, too, as well as Bluey (okay, so I'm a bit biased myself).  Justin can attest to the quality of calves Bluey's throwing, and one of his calves had the best tenderness score of the lowlines at '15'.  This from a guy who doesn't like to give a score anything below 30. Just a thought....

I would've mentioned them, but MYT is one of Kit's customers & also lives in Colorado.  I mentioned Machine, because I got the impression that MYT would like to do business with Kit to avoid shipping costs.  Plus, MYT wants 100% black & Bluey isn't black.  Actually, I'd rather use Doc or Bluey or Fitz instead of Machine, but Kit handles Machine & Machine has his share of positives.  I also didn't mention my little bull that is awfully good too...

The embryo's that became my new bull, TTT Zeff's Kryptonite, his full sister that I also own, & the lot 6 pregnancy that Doug Schmit bought in Denver, were hand picked out of all the Australian genetics that Tim Robinson looked at & studied while on tour in Australia, back a few years ago.  Tim based his decision on both Genestar potential & overall confirmation.   Kryptonite, is sired by Zeffirelli (7 Genestar's for tenderness) & Nardia,  whose "other son" has more Genestar's for marbling than any Lowline bull in the US & who also has the hesparin protein which increases fertility, according to Jeanette at Ardrossan Lowlines in Australia.  I am looking forward to testing Kryptonite & hopefully marketing his semen this spring!

I've also got another Aussie ET bull calf whose dam has 16 genestars & his sire has sired a US National Champion!  He might be pretty interesting too, but he's not weaned yet.

Zeffelli's been a great influence in the lowline breed.  I was surprised to hear 'the brick' (son of Zeff) only tested 36 in the ultrasound tenderness. I would have thought he'd be more tender. Wouldn't mind getting some Zeff semen myself....

I like Zeffirelli & I think that he has been a real plus for the breed.  He's certainly 1 of the better end bulls running around.

That is kind of surprising about "The Brick", but "The Brick" got 1/2 his genetics from his dam.  Who knows how Zefferilli would test?  I personally think that marbling is much more important trait & Bluey does real well in that dept.  IMHO, people don't have to have super tender meat... they just don't want tough meat.  Thay also want meat that grades & tastes good.  Marbling effects both.

I can't help you with Zeff semen, but I could hook you up later on with some semen from his son, out of Ardrossan Nardia!  ;)  IMHO, Tim's & Jeanette's, Nardia is the best part of that mating.  Her full sister Dana, her dam Carla & her 1/2 brother Findon, are some of the hottest Lowline genetics in Australia.  Spring Creeks Reserve National Champion Bull traces back to Dana & Carla.  And my bull is a 1/2 brother to the National Champion too... "The Brick".  Best part is, it will probably be a lot cheaper than buying semen from "Zeff" or my bull's 1/2 brothers "The Brick" or "Jamberoo".

Can a person get semen from you, TJ?  Iow, do you keep a supply for yourself and your customers?

Thanks for the plug, Nancy, and for the gentle reminder to the other SP'ers that there are a couple other really good Lowline bulls owned by us that have had some awesome percentage Lowline calves.

Are you asking, do I keep it on hand here?  Or are you asking, can it purchased from me to be shipped out?

If you are wanting to know if I keep it here at my place, in a tank, to sell... I've sold some out of my tank, but it's dry right now.  I probably need to get some more.  Cindy Jackson has some in her tank & she sells it that way.

Can Doc Holliday semen be purchased directly through me or directly through Cindy & be shipped out?  The answer is absolutely.  I'd rather not get into too many details, but Cindy & I have our own supply of Doc semen.  Cindy & I were pretty much out too, but, Doc is being collected right now.

Speaking of Doc... I now have plenty to sell & reports RE the fertility are very good!  Guy in Washington state told me that he thinks that he got 100% conception according to ultra-sound... I think he AI'd about 10 head.  He re-ordered & had a friend order some too.  Have heard several ET success stories with Doc semen too.  Twice, Doc increased the average # of fertile eggs compared to another "popular" Lowline bull in ET flushes on a group of donors for a Lowline Ranch Oklahoma.  Doc did really well... the other bull... :-(    50+ million cells in each straw.

And just to clarify, the owner of the "other bull" has never posted on SP to my knowledge.
